Desired Schedule
I prefer to give three presentations, although I can do more if necessary for an additional fee. My programs are suited for approximately
250 children
per 45 minute period. The program as a whole works better when younger grades are grouped
together when needed. ( i.e.: 1st and 2nd together instead of 1st and 5th.) For the older kids, i.e.:
4th and 5th, it is easier for them to draw if tables are available.
Supplies needed:
* Large room, preferably the gym for groups of 100 or more. My
second choice would be the Media Center or the Art Room, but only for groups of 50 or less.
* Microphone, hands-free if available
* Projector cart or table
* Extension cord
* Slide Screen or smooth clean wall to show slide presentation
* At least one piece of 8 1/2 x 11 white paper for each child
* One sharpened pencil for each child or they can bring their own supplies to the session
including crayons and colored pencils
I recommend that the teachers participate in the drawing exercise
as this gives the children confidence to try something they might not be initially good at.
It also helps if the teachers can ask some questions during the Q and A session to break the ice. I
have found that many times the kids are too shy to be the first to ask a question
